Mountain Lion by G Turner
Immediately after completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Colorado State University in 1974, George Turner began his career as a sculptor. His works have received many awards and are in numerous private, public and corporate collections throughout the North American Continent. His early works were one-of-a-kind sculptures of wood and stone. Later, with both his son and daughter demonstrating artistic ability, creating hand painted limited editions of his work made it possible to involve the whole family. When not sculpting, George enjoys backpacking in the Colorado mountains or biking in the desert. The process of creating relief-sculpture begins when George completes a detailed drawing. After matching up pieces of barnwood for a background, the image is recreated three-dimensionally on the wood. Reproductions are cast in polyurethane using a pressurized process which perfectly duplicates every detail. Each relief-sculpture is then hand painted by skilled artists, increasing its individuality and value. A signed certificate of authenticity accompanies each numbered sculpture. The whole Turner family hopes you enjoy these unique works of art.
