April Akroyd

April Akroyd was born on the island in Port Alberni, but spent her entire life growing up in the Ladysmith

area. As a young child she lived right on the ocean on Brenton Page Road. As a teen, her home was the old original farmhouse on Davis Road. Even while working for others, it was very typical for April to volunteer often and to give-back to her community.

As a young girl, she would dream of someday owning her own shop, as she would walk through downtown Ladysmith. April is definitely a "people person" and wanted to provide a happy fun shopping experience, with something for every age. She wanted to open a shop that would encourage people to bring their children with them. Her favourite thing in the world was to see smiling happy people succeeding in life.
